ABOUT DAVID SAROSI

David was born in Sweden, to Hungarian parents. First, he attained a master’s degree in piano in Copenhagen, Denmark. During that time, he was the main conductor of Malmö Sinfonietta and Lund New Chamber Orchestra.

Later he went on to study conducting at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. There he had the opportunity of working with several Hungarian professional orchestras, such as MÁV Symphony Orchestra, Hungarian Radio Orchestra, Miskolc Symphony Orchestra, Györ Symphony Orchestra, Dohnányi Symphony Orchestra, and Duna Symphony Orchestra, with such teachers as Ádám Medveczky, Gergely Ménesi and András Ligeti.

Winner of the 2019 Lantos conducting competition, and recipient of the Dan-Olof Stenlund scholarship, and the Friends Circle of Liszt Academy scholarship.

Hired as an assistant conductor and repetiteur at Budapest Opera during his last year of conducting studies, where he had the opportunity of working with such singers as Placido Domingo.

Since 2022, conductor of Öresunds Unga Symfoniker, Malmö Sinfonietta, Lunds Nya Kammarorkester.
